Web Vortex was an idea originally conceived by Nicholas Brunt and James Grenville-Smith in 2006. The company started out as Brunt NET, primarily dealing with smaller local businesses in the Buckinghamshire area. The idea was to bring a fresh perspective to web design and implementation; in 2008, the decision was made to step up the company and re-brand, thus was born "Web Vortex". Web Vortex continued to service companies in the local area, whilst also exploring new challenges outside of Buckinghamshire.
In Autumn 2009 Nick started a Computer Science degree at the University of Nottingham and James began training to become a pilot at Oxford Aviation Academy. This didn't stop the business however, and Web Vortex rose from strength to strength, benefitting from Nick's technical education and James's practical experience.
In January 2011 James left the Web Vortex team to pursue his career as an airline pilot for Flybe.
The Web Vortex portfolio has been gradually building over the few years of its existence with each site being finished to the highest possible standards. As new technologies come and go, the Web Vortex team continues to keep up with the latest fashions, trends and tools for making your web site one of the most advanced and successful around.
We continue to work hard to create the most technically advanced and user-friendly sites on the Internet. Nick is even considering taking a Computer Science PhD so watch this space!
